Her decision to step away from public office and relocate to Milwaukee was guided by a calling to serve families at a more direct, transformative level. With her legal training and policy experience, Denise brings strategic clarity, operational discipline, and a renewed vision for organizational growth.

Under her leadership, Nia Imani Family is strengthening its internal systems, expanding its fundraising strategy, and deepening its programmatic impact—while remaining rooted in its founding values of dignity, accountability, and love.
